Google is taking Gmail’s summary cards to the next level by making it easier to get the information you need quickly and efficiently. These new and improved cards will extract key details from your emails, such as purchase orders, bills, and event confirmations, and present them in a clear and concise manner.
What to Expect
With the upgraded summary cards, you’ll be able to:
- Get live updates on package delivery, including tracking numbers and quick action buttons to track your package or visit the retailer’s order page
- View flight booking confirmations with details such as flight numbers, departure and arrival times, and quick actions to add to your Google Calendar or check in for your flight
- Review credit card statements with details such as amounts, due dates, and minimum payments, and receive reminders to pay closer to the due date
- Manage bookings, such as modifying or canceling restaurant reservations, and view mobile tickets or get directions to the venue
The New Happening Soon Section
The new Happening Soon section at the top of your inbox will also be a game-changer. This section will only appear when it’s relevant, such as when you have a purchase arriving soon. You’ll be able to see the purchase summary card, which will include details such as the estimated delivery date and quick action buttons to track your package or visit the retailer’s order page.
