Ana de Armas takes center stage in the absurdly titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, a spin-off that promises a thrilling ride. The first trailer is out, featuring a cameo from the legendary Keanu Reeves.
The Story So Far
In John Wick: Ballerina, Ana de Armas plays Eve Macarro, a skilled assassin seeking revenge against the murderers of her family. The movie takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, and is set to arrive in summer 2025.
The Trailer
The trailer begins with Ian McShane collecting the young, orphaned Eve Macarro and whisking her off to a school where they teach dances. We then skip ahead to her arrival at The Continental, where she discovers the truth behind her family’s tragic fate. What started as a limited fantasy-infused underworld lorebuilding in the original John Wick has grown into a full-fledged cinematic universe. In addition to the existing four movies, there’s also a TV series on Peacock called The Continental, as well as the tactical RPG John Wick Hex.
The Cast
We’ll see where John Wick: Ballerina falls when it arrives next year. Ana de Armas will star alongside Keanu Reeves, who has a long history of acting alongside the talented actress. She was one of two women who erotically tortured him in 2015’s Knock Knock, a movie that includes one of the most iconic monologues of Reeves’ career.
