vivo V40 Pro in for review
It’s time we take a look at the brand new vivo V40 Pro which made its way to our office for review. The V40 Pro is currently exclusive to India but it is expected to roll out to more markets in the coming weeks.
This is one sleek-looking device with prominent curves on both the front and back. Our review unit comes in Moonlight White with a marble-like look. The retail package includes the 80W charger, USB-C cable, a SIM-ejector tool, and a translucent silicone case.
There’s a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display upfront which looks quite similar to one on last year’s V30 Pro. It features the exact same 1,260 x 2,800 resolution and refreshes at 120Hz but it’s noticeably brighter, maxing out at 4,500 nits local peak brightness.
The back features a redesigned camera module with two oval elements. The top part houses the 50MP main cam (IMX921) and OIS alongside the 50MP ultrawide lens. The bottom features the 50MP telephoto camera (IMX816) with 2x optical zoom and the Aura Light LED flash.
V40 Pro has a premium in the hand feel with some proper heft which is evenly distributed. Rounding out the specs is a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging, the capable Dimensity 9200+ chipset and IP69K rating. That’s all we have for now, we’ll provide our usual set of findings and verdict in the full detailed review.
