Unveiling the Sleek Samsung Galaxy S25: The Thinnest Smartphone Dream
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked: What to Expect in January 2023
In January 2023, Samsung’s next Unpacked event is taking place, and the leaks are already making waves. An intriguing invite has been circulating, showcasing four devices, which might just confirm rumors about the Galaxy S25 family having a fourth member besides the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra – we’re looking at the Galaxy S25 Slim.
It’s no secret that Samsung is gearing up for a major release, essentially preparing for the Apple iPhone 17 Air, which is set to hit shelves in September 2023. As we’ve been buzzing about the Galaxy S25 Slim, a crucial question on everyone’s mind is: just how slim is it going to be?
The Thinnest of the Thin?
According to Chinese leakster Ice Universe, we can expect the Galaxy S25 Slim to be around 6.x mm thick – a reassuringly thin figure, considering it’s under 7 mm. While it’s not the exact answer, it gives us a hint of what to expect.

In comparison, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be between 5 mm and 6 mm thick, but it’s said to make significant compromises to achieve this level of thinness, including featuring only one rear camera. The Galaxy S25 Slim, on the other hand, will likely be unveiled at the January Unpacked event, although some recent rumors suggest it might not arrive until later in 2025.
