Unlock the Ultimate Marvel Rivals Spring Festival: New Skins and Lucioball-Inspired Game Mode

The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival is Coming: A New Game Mode and Customization Event

In just a few days, on January 23, the Marvel Rivals Spring Festival will kick off, bringing with it a new game mode, customization event, and some fresh skins. The festival promises to be a thrilling experience, with a variety of activities and challenges to engage with.

Clash of Dancing Lions: A New Game Mode

The new game mode, Clash of Dancing Lions, is a three-on-three competition that takes place in a football stadium. Teams will need to use their skills to gain possession of the ball and maneuver it into the scoring zones located on either side of the field. The first team to reach a predetermined score will be declared the winner.

Similarities to Lucio Ball

The trailer for the Spring Festival shows Clash of Dancing Lions, which looks strikingly similar to the Lucio Ball event in Overwatch 2. However, this mode seems to be more complex than just having one hero bounce a ball around, hoping it will find its way towards a goal.

Hero Abilities

Iron Fist, Black Widow, and Star-Lord will be available to play in Clash of Dancing Lions, each with their unique abilities. Iron Fist can use his K-un-Lun Kick ability to dribble past enemy players, while Star-Lord can fly with the ball using his Rocket Propulsion ability. Black Widow, on the other hand, can run with the ball using her passive sprint ability.

Knocking the Ball Away

To knock a ball away from an enemy, players can simply damage them and then snag the ball before they can pick it back up. Unlike Lucio Ball, it seems that players will need to physically run with the ball across the goal line to score points, rather than launching it towards the goal.

New Skins and Customization

Alongside the new game mode, there will be new skins available for the three heroes involved in Clash of Dancing Lions. These skins look impressive, with Marvel Rivals having already delivered some impressive costumes, including Cloak and Dagger’s Growth and Decay skin, Adam Warlock’s Darkhold battle pass skin, and Jeff the Shark’s Incognito Dolphin skin.

How to Obtain the Skins

It’s not yet clear how players will be able to obtain the upcoming Spring Festival skin, but it’s likely to be available for purchase in the store. Fingers crossed that we’ll be able to earn at least one of these skins through event challenges, similar to the Winter Celebration event that ran a couple of months ago.
