Unlock the Power of Snapdragon 8s Elite: Revolutionizing the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro Experience
New Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite and Its First Phones
Just weeks ago, we stumbled upon a report suggesting that iQOO is working on four new Z10 phones, including the Z10, Z10x, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro. The Z10 Turbo Pro is particularly interesting, as it’s said to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite, a more affordable option in the 8s series of chips.
One phone that caught our attention is the vivo V2453A, which ran Geekbench 6.1.0 with a mysterious new chip. With one core at 3.21GHz, three cores at 3.01GHz, two at 2.80GHz, and two more at 2.02GHz, the ADreno 825 GPU matches perfectly with Digital Chat Station’s description of the 8s Elite (SM8735). This raises questions about whether this phone might indeed be the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro.
Snapdragon 8s Elite vs Premium Snapdragon 8 Elite
Here’s how the Snapdragon 8s Elite compares to the premium Snapdragon 8 Elite:
Snapdragon | 8s Gen 3 | 8s Elite | 8 Elite |
---|---|---|---|
Node | 4nm | ? | 3nm |
CPU, prime | 1x Cortex-X4 @ 3.0GHz | 1x Cortex-X4 @ 3.21GHz | 2x Oryon @ 4.32GHz |
CPU, medium | 4x Cortex-A720 @ 2.8GHz | 3x Cortex-A720 @ 3.01GHz 2x Cortex-A720 @ 2.80GHz |
6x Oryon @ 3.53GHz |
CPU, small | 3x Cortex-A520 @ 2.0GHz | 2x Cortex-A520 @ 2.02GHz | – |
GPU | Adreno 735 | Adreno 825 | Adreno 830 |
The 8s Elite does not use Oryon cores, developed in-house by Qualcomm, but still features ARM-designed cores, similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 generation. However, it boasts a boost in CPU clock speed and an additional middle core (at the cost of one small core). The Adreno 825 GPU is from the same generation as the Elite chip (not a 700 series GPU).
Another Phone, Another Story
Another phone, the vivo V2452A, is believed to be the iQOO Z10 Turbo, equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 8400. This chip features an ARM-designed Mali-G720 GPU and eight Cortex-A725 cores: one at 3.25GHz, three at 3.0GHz, and four at 2.1GHz.
