Unlock the Fury of Hades 2: Unleash a Horde of New Pets and Locations
Hades 2’s anxiously awaited "Olympic Update" is now here!
Supergiant Games’ critically acclaimed Hades 2 has just received its first major update, and it’s packed with exciting new features and improvements. As the game is still in early access, this update is a significant step forward, and I’m here to give you the lowdown on what’s new and what’s coming next.
The Olympic Update: A New Region to Explore
The crown jewel of this update is, without a doubt, the new region. Yes, you guessed it right – it’s the Olympic Update! As you might have expected, the trailer gives us a glimpse into this new location, and I’m eager to dive in and explore it, taking on the boss and wielding the new weapon, Xinth, the Black Coat.
What Else is New?
Beyond the new region, Supergiant has added several more goodies to the game. You’ll now have two new animal familiars to call your own: a bird and a dog, which you can, of course, pet! The gods feature prominently in this update, too, with boons from Athena and Dionysus, just like in the original Hades. New music has been added, and I must say, the trailer’s soundtrack is fantastic. You can find more information on all these changes in the official patch notes, available on the Steam store.
What’s Next?
Supergiant has outlined its plans for the next major update, which is expected to arrive in early 2025. We can look forward to a "climactic confrontation" in the new region, more boons, and even more enemies. The studio is committed to continuously supporting this game, and I’m excited to see what’s in store.
Update: A Dramatic Reading of the Patch Notes
If you’d rather listen to the patch notes than read through them, Supergiant has got you covered. I’ll make sure to keep this article updated if new information becomes available. For now, you can watch the trailer or dive into the extensive patch notes for more information.
