Unlock Exclusive Realme 14 Pro+ Camera Features Confirmed

Realme 14 Pro+: A Mid-Range Smartphone with Flagship-Like Camera Capabilities

The Realme 14 Pro+ was partially announced last month, and we were thrilled to get our hands on the device for an early taste of what it has to offer. We’ve shared some photo and video samples that you can check out to get a better feel for the device.

But that’s not all – we’ve now got more information about the camera sensors on the device. And, let me tell you, they’re impressive.

The Periscope Camera: A Rare Find in the Mid-Range

The star of the show is the periscope camera, which features Sony’s IMX882 sensor with triple light reflection. This 1/2-inch sensor boasts 50MP resolution and optical image stabilization (OIS), allowing for 3x optical zoom and up to 120x hybrid zoom. This type of sensor is usually reserved for flagship devices, and we hope to see more mid-range devices equipped with similar hardware in the future.

A Solid Main Shooter and an Ultra-Wide Lens

The periscope lens is accompanied by a 24mm equivalent 50MP main shooter, featuring the 1/1.56-inch IMX896 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. This unit is also capable of 2x in-sensor lossless zoom, which produced promising shots during our brief time with the device.

The third camera sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 112° field of view and f/2.2 aperture. And, rounding out the camera setup, is a 32MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and eye-tracking autofocus.

A Promising Camera Setup

The Realme 14 Pro+ has some impressive camera hardware, which we were excited to test out in our brief time with the device. We’ll be back with more information and our usual suite of tests in our full review.
