Unleash Your Inner Architect: Build and Explore Epic Cities in Civilization VII VR

Introducing Civilization VII VR: The Next Level of Strategy

Are you ready to experience the ultimate in strategy gaming? 2K and Firaxis Games are about to take the Civilization franchise to new heights with the announcement of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII in virtual and mixed reality for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

Immerse Yourself in a New Reality

For the first time ever, players will be able to experience the world of Civilization like never before. Literally. With Civilization VII VR, you’ll be positioned above the playing area, surrounded by a massive circular surface called the Command Table. This innovative design allows for a truly immersive experience, giving you a fresh perspective on the world of strategy.

Choose Your Mode

Civilization VII VR will support both single-player and online multiplayer modes. In single-player, you’ll have the freedom to play out your civilization’s destiny from the comfort of your own home. In online multiplayer, you’ll be able to go head-to-head with friends and other players, with the only limitation being that opponents must also be using a Meta Quest 3 or 3S.

How to Play

In VR mode, you’ll be transported into a massive museum, with the area outside the museum tailored to your selected leader. You can zoom in and out, giving orders to your citizens from a top-down perspective or getting up close and personal with the actions on the board. The choice is yours.

In mixed reality mode, the Command Table will be projected onto a flat surface in the real-world physical space, transforming a kitchen table, for example, into an intense battleground. The possibilities are endless.

Get Ready to Launch

Civilization VII VR is set to launch on Meta Quest 3 and 3S platforms in Spring 2025. You can wishlist the game now on both platforms via the Meta Store, so be sure to mark your calendars for a truly immersive strategy gaming experience.
