Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Review: A Budget-Friendly 5G Smartphone with Some Compromises

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is an affordable 5G smartphone that’s similar to the budget-friendly option in the A series, but with some notable differences. While it’s not the cheapest option in the A series, it does come with some compromises to make it more affordable. In this review, we’ll explore the Galaxy A16 5G’s performance, design, and features to determine if it’s worth considering.

A Unique Situation

The Galaxy A16 5G is available with either a Samsung Exynos 1330 or a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, depending on the region. Unfortunately, we don’t have a device with the Dimensity 6300 to compare, making it difficult to fully evaluate the performance difference between the two chipsets.

Our Review Unit

Our review unit is powered by the Exynos 1330 processor, which is similar to the one found in the Galaxy A14 5G. We have the 128GB base model, which is expandable storage, which is a plus. However, the 4GB of RAM may be a concern for those who want future-proofing.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is a budget-friendly 5G smartphone with some notable compromises to keep the price affordable. While it’s not the cheapest option in the A series, it offers a good balance of performance and features. However, the 4GB of RAM may be a concern for those who need future-proofing.
