As Batman fans, we’re spoiled for choice this year. Not only can we dive back into the virtual world with the upcoming Batman: Arkham Shadow on Meta Quest 3, but we can also explore the rich comic book history of the Arkham universe with the massive Batman: The Arkham Saga Omnibus.
Released this week, this 1,648-page hardcover collection brings together some of the best comic book tales set in the Arkham universe. These stories feature some of DC’s best creators at the helm, and it’s great to see Batman: Arkham Unhinged, a digital-first series, included in this collection. The omnibus also includes unique redesigns for Batman and his rogues gallery, which were inspired by the Arkham games.
Batman: Arkham Shadow is just around the corner, releasing on October 22. This Meta Quest 3 exclusive comes bundled with the brand-new Meta Quest 3S, which releases on October 15, and the Meta Quest 3, which has received a substantial price cut.
Batman: Arkham Saga Omnibus is available for $107 in hardcover at Amazon, substantially cheaper than its $150 list price. Unsurprisingly, it’s the No. 1 best-selling new release from DC at Amazon.
Other Batman Graphic Novel & Omnibus New Releases
While Batman: The Arkham Saga Omnibus is a must-have for fans, it’s not the only new 2024 omnibus or graphic novel featuring the Caped Crusader and his Gotham City foes. One of the highlights is the Absolute Batman edition of Grant Morrison’s and Dave McKean’s Arkham Asylum, which is available for 25% off at Amazon. Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight: The Master Race also received the Absolute Batman treatment this month, and you can save on that hardcover, too.
The premium Absolute Batman hardcover series is awesome, but it’s not the only series where classic Batman stories are being reissued. DC is also re-releasing some stellar Batman books in collections dubbed DC Finest. Batman Year One & Two is the first book in the new DC Finest series, and it’s slated to release on November 5.
