A Tribute to Military Heroes: CRKT’s Du Hoc and Xolotl Fixed Knives

A Legacy of Valor and Innovation

The Du Hoc, designed by Austin McGlaun, pays homage to his uncle’s D-Day landing at Pointe du Hoc, a critical moment in the Normandy invasion during World War II. McGlaun, a veteran of the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq, chose the Idaho Backcountry Veterans charity as the recipient of this knife’s proceeds.

A God of Fire and Lightning: The Xolotl

Michael Rodriguez, an Irish Army Ranger Wing Sniper Course graduate, designed the Xolotl. Named after the Aztec god of fire and lightning, this knife supports the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation, a charity close to Rodriguez’s heart.

The new Du Hoc is a reimagining of the traditional fixed-blade karambit. This innovative design converts the sizable fixed-blade knife into a smaller, more convenient folder, perfect for everyday carry. The 3.62-inch D2 steel blade still packs a punch, with an overall length of 9.53 inches and a closed length of 6.5 inches. Weighing 8.4 ounces, this knife features a sturdy G10 handle with a thumb ring, providing a secure grip and easy deployment via the assisted opening mechanism or flipper/thumb stud.
