The crowd is a vibrant mix of high-profile streamers, smaller Twitch affiliates, and fans, all united by their love for drag culture. The third annual TwitchCon Drag Showcase is in full swing, and the energy is palpable.

The stage is set ablaze with a drag artist dressed as Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head, lip-syncing to a nu-metal anthem. JuiceBoxx, a popular streamer and host for the event, has her face plastered all over the convention center, reminding attendees of her influence and dedication to the community. Nearby, makeup artists from Ru Paul’s Drag Race are offering beauty tips and touch-ups to attendees, adding a touch of glamour to the proceedings.

But what truly sets TwitchCon apart is its commitment to inclusivity. Pronoun pins are available for attendees to display on their badges, and non-profits like TransLifeline have booths on the show floor, providing resources and support for the queer community.

Off-site at a Capcom party, a group of drag queens mill about, their elaborate hairstyles nearly grazing the ceiling of the bar. It’s a testament to the community’s creativity and flair. The event also features performances by some of the world’s most talented drag queens, including Ru Paul’s Drag Race superstar Trixie Mattel.
