Tesla Cybertruck’s Limited Advertising Potential: Is it a Mobile Billboard Failure?
The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well! Or is it? There’s a company out there called My Pixel Bus that’s trying to make a name for itself by hauling a massive LED billboard around in a Tesla Cybertruck. Sounds like a rad idea, right? Too bad they’re also obsessed with crashing into things. Like, a lot of things.
According to a recent post on the Cyberstuck subreddit (yes, that’s a real thing), the owner of My Pixel Bus claims their Cybertruck-based billboard has become a magnet for attention. And, yeah, that’s probably true. People can’t help but stop and stare at the LED monstrosity dangling from the back of this hypercolor-wrapped electric truck. But at what cost?
The post also shares a video from the Pixel Bus, showcasing just how impractical this contraption is. It’s like trying to wrestle a giant squid on four wheels. The trailer keeps getting stuck, the Cybertruck keeps getting damaged, and the poor folks driving the thing just can’t catch a break. They admit it’s a total dumpster fire, but hey, at least it’s gotten them some attention… on Reddit, where they claim people “hate them”.
I mean, if you’re going to launch a business, at least try to make it convincing, right? The My Pixel Bus co-founders claim to be experts in creating brand awareness, but all we’re getting is a big ol’ mess. Literally. They’ve damaged parking structures, hit their own trailer, and – as a cherry on top – their Cybertruck needs an hour of charging for every hour of driving.
If you’re still game for a mobile billboard despite all the chaos, there’s a half-off deal for $750. Because who wouldn’t want 1,000 10-second flash ads on a billboard that’s either crashing or stuck in a ditch? Sign me up for that sweet, sweet eyeball real estate. Have tips?
