The Last Hurrah: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Final Season
As we bid farewell to the misadventures of Harley Quinn and her crew, Rocksteady Studios reminds us that their time on the playground is coming to an end. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s final season, comprising Episodes 7 and 8, will conclude on January 14th, 2025, marking the end of this tumultuous tale.
What’s in Store for the Final Season?
Episode 7 will kick off on Tuesday, and while the game will no longer receive new episodes after this point, players will still have the opportunity to access the entire story, including the new content, online.
A New Offline Mode
But that’s not all – the game will also be getting an offline mode, allowing you to play the main story and seasonal story mission content even without an internet connection. This update was previously announced, albeit with no specific date set beyond 2024.
A Troubled History
Despite its delayed release and lukewarm reception, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had its share of ups and downs. From being initially set to release in 2022 to facing multiple delays, the game’s development was marked by setbacks. Our review described the game as "hiding its brash personality under a generic looter shooter," resulting in lackluster performance. The financial fallout was evident, with Warner Bros. Discovery announcing a $200 million loss on the game in May.
The end of an era begins, and while we bid adieu to this chaotic journey, we look back at the game’s tumultuous history. The final curtain call arrives on January 14th, 2025, with Episodes 7 and 8 bringing closure to this turbulent tale.
