Stardew Valley: Solve the Goblin Problem Quest – Tips and Strategies for Completion

After wrapping up the community center or Joja Mart quests in Stardew Valley, the Wizard will ask you to get his magic ink from his ex-wife, the Witch. Sounds like an easy task, but things get a bit sticky – her swamp is trapped in a tunnel near the train tracks, and there are a few obstacles to overcome before you can even think about getting to her. One of those hurdles is her henchman, who’s not about to let you pass without a fight… or rather, without a bribe.

To get past the henchman, you’ll need to shell out a Void Mayonnaise – not exactly something you’ll find lying around the farm. But don’t worry, there are a couple of ways to get your hands on some. For the easy route, grab your fishing rod and try your luck in the swamp water. You’ll probably catch a few Void Salmon too, but you’ll be on the hunt for that elusive Void Mayonnaise. If you’re not exactly the angling type, you can also head to Krobus’ shop in the sewers and splash out 5,000G for a Void Egg. Just be sure to crack it open in a mayonnaise maker to turn it into the good stuff.

Once you’ve bribed the henchman, you’re golden. Head into the witch’s hut, grab that magic ink, and take the teleporter to the Wizard’s basement. Job done! With the ink delivered, you’ll unlock those fancy Wizard buildings for your farm, and you’ll be one step closer to becoming the ultimate Stardew Valley tycoon.
