Samsung wants Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 to deliver 10% better sales than their predecessors
Samsung unveiled its latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, on July 10. They are the first Samsung foldables to launch with Galaxy AI on board, and the company hopes the AI features will help them sell well.
In fact, Samsung expects a 10% boost in sales numbers for these two compared to their predecessors. This comes straight from Samsung Mobile Division President TM Roh, speaking to Korean reporters right after the Unpacked event in Paris on Wednesday.

He went on to emphasize the user-friendly features of the two phones, the cameras, battery life, the chipset, and of course – AI. With this package, the new duo should deliver “better results in the global market”.

Samsung led the foldable market ever since its inception, but recently lost the crown to Huawei. It will be interesting to see if the launch of the Fold6 and Flip6 will once again make Samsung the world’s No.1 foldable smartphone maker, in terms of sales numbers.
For what it’s worth, Roh also said it’s a good thing for consumers if the market gets more competitive, as it has this year, but, we might add, it’s definitely not great for Samsung. What do you think? Can it sell 10% more Fold 6 and Flip6 units than it did Fold5 and Flip5 units last year?
