Samsung’s Popular Good Lock Customization Feature to Expand to All Regions and the Google Play Store in 2025

Samsung’s Good Lock, a feature that allows for deep customizations to One UI without the need for root or complex mods, is currently limited to certain regions and accessible only via the Galaxy Store. However, in 2025, Samsung is expanding Good Lock to all countries and making it available on the Google Play Store, bringing more flexibility and control to users worldwide.
Good Lock, available since 2022, is designed to empower users to gain further control over their software experience. From customizing the Samsung launcher to launching any app on the Galaxy Z Flip’s cover display, Good Lock can address some of the shortcomings of Samsung’s Android skin and solve real-world problems.
In One UI 7, Samsung is expanding Good Lock to more users as the feature is not only coming to "all" countries but will also be available on the Google Play Store. This is a significant improvement from the current state, where Good Lock is only accessible on the Galaxy Store.
According to a Samsung forum post, the company representative confirmed the news, stating that Good Lock in One UI 7 "can be used in all countries." Distribution will also be made available via the Google Play Store, rather than just the Galaxy Store.
A redesign of the Good Lock app is also underway, aiming to improve the user experience. As explained, the main app will have a new composition, featuring a filter for specific Good Lock apps and a "My Page" tab for easier management of Good Lock apps. Additionally, Samsung will update several Good Lock apps currently unavailable in One UI 7 in the near future.
One UI 7, Samsung’s Android 15 update, is currently in beta for the Galaxy S24 series and is expected to launch on the Galaxy S25 series in January.
