Samsung Launches Galaxy S22+ in UK: A Surprising Move for the Global Smartphone Market
Big news for all you UK and Ireland users – Nothing has just unveiled the official pricing and release date for the highly anticipated Phone (2a) Plus! Although it arrived on the scene back in July, this beastly smartphone was initially only available in the US through a “beta program”. The good news is that’s no longer the case; at IFA 2024, Nothing has dropped the bombshell that both UK and Ireland customers will get their hands on it.
The Phone (2a) Plus (with 12GB+256GB) is now live for pre-order from September 6th, ahead of its official launch on September 10th. And the best part? It’s available from not one, but two legendary retailers – Nothing’s website and Amazon. In the Emerald Isle, Harvey Norman will also be stocking up on this fantastic device for the low price of £399/€449 in the UK and Ireland.
This “latest and greatest” smartphone from Nothing (according to them, their best one yet!) boasts some juicy upgrades over its predecessor – improved performance, cameras, and design. It was touted as a “gamer’s dream” upon its initial release, but now we’re getting our first taste of just what makes it so special.
So, what’s making it tick? Well, for starters, the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor is the catalyst for a 10% speed boost in CPU powers and 30% gains in gaming performance compared to its predecessor. Impressive, right?
The front-facing camera has also joined the 50MP squad, along with the twin cameras on the back; both support video recording up to 4K @ 30fps – and we’re loving the seamless integration of Glyph interface styling in both colour options.
