Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Unleashed: Hands-On Review of the Future of Mobile Power

Galaxy S25 Ultra: Unboxing and First Impressions

The highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is now available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin on February 4 (February 6 in stores). We’ve received our review unit and are excited to dive into the world of this powerful new device.

What’s New?

We’ve covered the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s major improvements, including its cameras and how they compare to the S24 Ultra, as well as our initial thoughts. Now, let’s focus on other aspects, such as design, build, and what’s in the box.

Unboxing the Galaxy S25 Ultra

The phone comes with a USB-C cable and SIM ejector tool, with the option to supply your own charging brick, like Samsung’s 45W charger.

Design and Build Quality

The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design is a refreshing change from the black and grey options we’ve seen before. The new Titanium Silverblue model sits lower on the table and is narrower, with a noticeable reduction in weight. This is due in part to the reduced size of the display bezels, although it’s difficult to notice without getting up close.

Size Comparison

Here’s a size comparison between the Galaxy S25 Ultra and its predecessor. As you can see, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is slightly larger, but only by a hair.

Camera Upgrades

The new 50MP ultrawide camera replaces the 12MP unit of the previous model. This change is apparent in the camera lenses, with the top one on the left being the ultrawide. Unfortunately, the 3x zoom remains unchanged, which may be an area for improvement in future updates.

Display and Battery

The display is slightly larger at 6.9 inches, but still has the same parameters under the new Gorilla Armor 2. The battery remains the same size, although the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite may impact its endurance. Unfortunately, the charging speed remains the same, which is a slight disappointment.

That’s all for now – we’re off to put the Galaxy S25 Ultra through its paces. Stay tuned for our full review!
