Game-Changing Transportation: Tesla Unveils its Robotaxi Prototype
In a major move that’s set to revolutionize the way we travel, Tesla’s boss Elon Musk has revealed a prototype of the company’s long-anticipated robotaxi. The unveiling took place at a special event at the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California, where Musk arrived at the stage in one of the new autonomous vehicles.
Meet the Cybercab: the Future of Transportation
The Cybercab, as Musk calls it, boasts a sleek, futuristic design, complete with butterfly doors that open upwards, and an electric powertrain. What’s more, it ditches the traditional steering wheel and pedals, instead relying on inductive charging for power.
A Sneak Peek of the Robovan:
But that’s not all – Tesla also unveiled a new, larger autonomous vehicle, the Robovan, capable of transporting both people and goods. As Musk explained, "We’re working on a bigger vehicle that can carry people or goods," he said. "We can make money by moving things around the world."
When Can We Expect to See the Cybercab on the Road?
Musk hopes to start production of the Cybercab by 2026, but confessed that he’s known to be "a little optimistic" with his forecasts.
