Revolutionize Your Temperature Tracking with the Latest Pixel Thermometer Update
Pixel Thermometer gets a Fresh New Look with a Simplified Design
The latest update to Google’s Pixel Thermometer has brought a sleek new look to the app’s iconic thermometer icon. Gone are the detailed illustrations of yesteryear, replaced by a clean and crisp white thermometer against a light blue background.
A Less is More Approach
Unlike its predecessor, the updated icon takes a more subtle approach, adopting a cleaner design that aligns with other Google Pixel-exclusive apps like Magnifier, Tips, and Weather. What’s more, this simplification is consistent with other recent updates to the app, such as the "Themed" icon (which remains unchanged).
Design Consistency Across Google Apps
The new look is a departure from the detailed illustrations of the past, but it’s now more in line with Google’s design language. And, as you might’ve noticed, this simplified aesthetic is also reflected in apps like Screenshots, Studio, and Weather.
What’s New in this Update?
- A brighter green FAB (floating action button) for the Object temperature UI
- Color updates and bug fixes in the Software release notes
- The updated app version, 1.0.700924790, is not yet rolled out to all devices
What’s Missing (for Now)?
Pixel Thermometer could benefit from a Quick Settings Tile to make it easier to access the app. But we’ll have to wait and see if this feature comes to fruition in future updates.
