Rather than relying on high-strength adhesives and "gigacasting" body parts, Scout is opting for screw-and-route construction. This approach allows for easier repairs and modifications, making it easier for customers to take the front bumper off and go bouldering.

While some may worry about the complexity of modern EVs, Decker emphasizes that customers should be able to understand and repair their vehicles. "What is a modern EV? It’s like a completely black box, you can’t touch anything," he says. To bridge this gap, Scout plans to provide transparent repair guides and manuals for its customers.
