The Perfect Track for a Day of Thrills: Laguna Seca

As I watch billionaires splurge on lavish activities, I can’t help but think about what I’d do if I had unlimited funds. Renting a Formula 1 track for a day sounds like the ultimate adrenaline rush. One Bugatti Bolide owner recently took delivery of his hypercar and rented the Circuit of the Americas track for a spin. That’s the kind of indulgence I’d love to experience.

My Track of Choice: Laguna Seca

While I don’t have a ton of track experience, I’ve had the privilege of driving on a few famous circuits. The Autodromo di Vallelunga outside Rome was an unforgettable experience, but it’s not the track I’d choose for a day of thrills. If I had to pick a track I’ve always dreamed of, Laguna Seca would be my top choice.

The Iconic Corkscrew

Laguna Seca is an iconic track that evokes memories of racing games and car culture. For me, it’s the track where I first fell in love with racing. The Corkscrew, in particular, is a thrilling section of the track that I’d love to master. If I could rent any track in the world for a day, I’d spend 24 hours perfecting my turns and braking techniques.

The Perfect Car: Ferrari 360 Modena

I wouldn’t bring my childhood dream car, a first-gen Viper, as I’d like to survive the day. Instead, I’d opt for a Ferrari 360 Modena with a gated six-speed manual. It’s a car that’s both nostalgic and exhilarating to drive.

What About You?

Others in my office suggested Spa-Francorchamps, Ascari Resort, Road America, and Suzuka as alternative tracks. While they’re all great choices, I’ll stick with Laguna Seca. What about you?
