Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption Heads to PC with Native 4K and More

A New Era for the Classic Western

Rockstar Games is teaming up with developer Double Eleven to bring the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption to PC. This highly anticipated release promises to deliver a visually stunning experience, with native 4K resolution at refresh rates up to 144 Hz. Additionally, the game will support ultrawide (21:9) and super ultrawide (32:9) aspect ratios, HDR10, and keyboard and mouse controls.

Graphical Enhancements Galore

But that’s not all – Red Dead Redemption on PC will also feature Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling, Nvidia DLSS frame generation, and other graphical enhancements. These cutting-edge features will ensure a seamless and immersive gaming experience.

The Story of John Marston

In Red Dead Redemption, players take on the role of John Marston, a former outlaw and gang member forced into a mission by the U.S. government to track down his former associates. As Marston navigates the closing of the American frontier, players will experience a gripping narrative set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing world.

A Different Direction with Undead Nightmare

While the main game’s story was relatively grounded and serious, Rockstar took a bold direction with the expansion pack Undead Nightmare, which launched just five months after the main game. This expansion added a new layer of complexity to the game’s narrative, offering a fresh and exciting experience for players.

A Critical and Commercial Success

Originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, Red Dead Redemption was a critical and commercial blockbuster, garnering numerous game of the year awards and selling over 23 million copies. The game’s success paved the way for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, which has gone on to sell over 61 million units worldwide.
