At our office, we have the new Realme 14 Pro+ for review, and we’re excited to dive in and explore its features. One notable thing is that the global unit we received doesn’t come with the 80W charger, which is available in China. The other accessories remain the same – a case and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
A Phone That’s Like No Other: The Realme 14 Pro+
This phone is quite special, and not just because of its striking design. Realme has added thermochromic pigments to the rear panel, making it the world’s first "cold-sensitive" color-changing phone. When touched by a cold substance, like ice or cold water, the phone’s color changes to shades of blue, with the colder the substance, the quicker the change.
Design and Camera System
The 14 Pro+ also boasts an impressive design, with a pearlescent white and orange rear panel that’s sure to turn heads. But that’s not all – the camera system is also a major highlight. It features three LED lights that work together to create low-light shots with accurate color temperature and professional-grade light filling. You can choose to let the phone decide the color temperature or take control yourself.

So, what’s inside this flagship-worthy device? You’ll find a large 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, backed by a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging (just remember to bring your own charger). The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and features an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
Camera System and Performance
The camera system is another strong point, with a 50MP 1/1.56-inch main camera, an 8MP 1/4.0-inch ultrawide camera, and a 50MP 1/1.95-inch 3x periscope zoom lens. With this setup, you’ll be able to capture stunning images and enjoy overall smooth performance.
