Players React with Fury to MultiVersus Founder’s Pack Scam

Warner Bros. Games Accused of "Scamming" MultiVersus Players with Unredeemed Founder’s Pack Rewards
As Warner Bros. Games announced that MultiVersus will no longer receive live updates, fans who splurged on the premium Founder’s Pack are up in arms over the unused rewards they still have left.
With the latest news that the fifth season of the game will be its last, some founder pack owners who spent $100 are feeling particularly disappointed. These players had anticipated redeeming all of their character tokens and 2500 Gleamium, but now, with the game’s live-service closure, it seems they will be left with a bunch of unusable tokens.
Did Gold Really Promote Redemptions?
One of the common complaints from players is that Warner Bros. Games was more generous with the game’s currency, Gold, during the beta period. Some founders claim they could redeem characters with Gold back then, leading them to stockpile tokens they may never get to use. As one unhappy player put it, "Gold was a lot more generous back then, so I was expecting a similar situation now."
Why the Backlash?
Others argue that Warner Bros. Games promised 30 character tokens, and since players received those exact tokens, the company shouldn’t be expected to refund or offer compensation. However, the opposite perspective claims that the game’s description didn’t accurately reflect the limitations of the tokens. "The concept of the item has to then be useable," one frustrated player said, "if a product is unusable or is described improperly at time of purchase, the consumer is due a refund."
The Verdict?
Warner Bros. Games has yet to issue an official statement on potential refunds for Founder’s Pack owners. While some players understand the game’s development cycle and limitations, others are left feeling shortchanged by the experience.

- Some founders chose to save their tokens for future updates, hoping they would unlock more characters. With the game’s closure, these tokens now appear to be worthless.
- While six of the 35 available characters have been given away for free, others still hold onto their unused tokens, wondering what they’ll do with them.
