OnePlus Open Sequel vs Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Thinner Foldable Smartphone Battle Begins
Check out this juicy rumor about the upcoming OnePlus Open sequel – it’s said to pack a massive battery into a foldable that’s even thinner than the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold!
According to a post on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, the next-gen OnePlus Open (and Oppo Find N3) will allegedly be a whopping 9.xmm thick, which is under 10mm in thickness. That’s a significant step up from the existing hardware, which measures 11.5mm thick, and even thinner than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, currently the thinnest foldable in the US market.
In a follow-up comment, it’s mentioned that the device will be “record-breaking” in its thinness, implying that it could be thinner than anything else. That would mean beating the 9.2mm profile of the Honor Magic V3, which is set to launch globally soon.
That’s impressive, considering the rumors surrounding this device. The next OnePlus Open is reportedly powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, with improved water resistance, better cameras, and somehow squeezing a 6,000 mAh battery into the device.
The next OnePlus Open (and Find N5) is expected to launch in early 2025.
