Meet the 1048-hp Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen: A F1-Powered Tribute to the GOAT

HOF’s Sir Class: A Custom G-Wagen Tribute to Lewis Hamilton’s Departure from Mercedes F1

Lewis Hamilton’s exit from Mercedes F1 marked the end of an era, and Germany’s customization shop, HOF, is commemorating this chapter with a tribute unlike any other. Say hello to the Sir Class, a custom G-Wagen packing 1,048 horsepower, a blistering zero-to-60 time of 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 186 miles per hour. Consider it the fastest G-Wagen on Earth.

While the Sir Class may not be subtle, it certainly makes a statement. A Tiffany Green accent package inspired by the Petronas livery adds a splash of color, but even that can’t distract from the vehicle’s stunning, "fading paint finish" which transitions from silver to black. The large carbon fiber hood vents exude aggression, while 23-inch custom wheels boast a striking design.

Stepping inside, the custom interior features a unique approach. HOF lifted wheel designs from the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar, creating a one-of-a-kind look. Alcantara and Nappa Leather join forces to wrap the cabin, while dark trim and open-pore matte carbon fiber add contrast. And, for F1 fans, the ‘track map stitching’ on the headliner is an Easter egg that’s pure gold.

Performance-wise, the Sir Class is where it truly shines. Tuned V8 power produces an impressive 959 pound-feet of torque, leaving no doubt about its pace. Lowered by about an inch and equipped with carbon-ceramic braking, this G-Class should be well-equipped to harness its massive power.

Don’t look for a price tag – the Sir Class is reportedly a one-off, built as a testament to the "Greatest Knight on The Track," Lewis Hamilton. Whether HOF’s tribute will ignite a desire for future custom builds, only time will tell.
