Mark Zuckerberg’s Unrivaled Dominance in Civilization: The Tech Titan’s Gaming Claim to Fame
Mark Zuckerberg: The Self-Proclaimed Master of Civilization
As the co-founder of Facebook and CEO of Meta, most of us know Mark Zuckerberg as a tech mogul with a passion for coding and entrepreneurship. But did you know that he’s also a huge fan of the popular strategy game, Civilization? In a recent interview, Zuckerberg revealed that he’s played a whopping 1,000 hours of Civilization on his PC, and claims to be one of the best players in the world.
"I’ve played a lot of Civilization," Zuckerberg said. "In fact, I’m probably the best player in the world. Priscilla looked at my Steam account the other day and she’s like ‘What?! You’ve played this for more than a thousand hours?’" He went on to claim that he wants to be the best in the world at Civilization, and even suggested he’d stream his gameplay online to prove his skills.
A Self-Proclaimed Mastermind
Zuckerberg’s confidence in his gaming skills is admirable, but it’s interesting to note that he’s chosen to stream on Twitch instead of his own platform, Facebook. Despite the social media giant’s efforts to encourage gaming content on its platform, Zuckerberg seems to be sticking with the more popular choice for live gaming streams.
But what about his claim of being the best player in the world? Some Reddit users have pointed out that 1,000 hours of gameplay isn’t necessarily a guarantee of grandmaster status, and that others might be able to defeat him online.
So, what’s the takeaway from this story? Can Mark Zuckerberg really back up his claims, or is he just a self-proclaimed mastermind of Civilization? Only time will tell!
