Laughter and Slapstick: Actor’s Epic On-Field Meltdown at Baseball Game

The Creepy Smile 2 Promotional Tour: When Grins Turn Sinister

As we await the release of Smile 2, the tagline "Would it kill you to smile?" has left us with more questions than answers. In the spirit of the original film’s marketing strategy, Paramount has enlisted performers to bring the new movie to life through eerie, high-stakes promotions. But, it seems even the performers themselves have a hard time keeping a straight face.

Two performers recently appeared at the Dodgers vs. Mets game, the mystery (or mayhem?) has not disappeared. It was just hours later when the left actor flinched and broke character during a foul ball play, while his companion managed to pull off a sinister grin. The contrast couldn’t be more striking.

The 2022 original Smile turned out to be an unexpected hit, starring Sosie Bacon as Rose Cotter, a troubled therapist. As the curse progressed, Rose saw twisted grins everywhere she went. Now, it’s Skye Riley’s (Naomi Scott) turn. The pop starlet on the rise is the new target of the curse. Like Rose, she’s trapped, with nowhere to escape from the curse’s sinister playground.

Kyle Gallner reprises his role as Joel, the common thread connecting the two movies. A star-studded cast, including Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson, join forces. We’re also thrilled to see Drew Barrymore return as herself.

Smile 2 debuts in theaters on October 18, 2023. Will you dare to join the mayhem and find the curse’s dark secret?
