A traditional outdoor shoe at heart

First released in 2008, the original Jasper borrows much of its design from that of a traditional approach shoe. It features a durable suede upper, rugged toe cap and tongue-to-toe laces.

As such, the Jasper has always looked like it belongs outdoors, where it certainly thrives for casual adventures. But it’s also become a stalwart silhouette among city folk riding the trendy Gorpcore wave.

In fact, Keen recently celebrated the Jasper’s 15th anniversary by releasing a collaborative edition with Hiking Patrol — an Oslo-based Instagram account that curates product releases “for outerwear-obsessed men to gawp over,” as Highsnobiety once put it.
