Introducing Google One ‘Lite’ in India: Affordable Online Storage for Under $1/Month

Google One “Lite” Plan: A More Affordable Storage Option

Google has introduced a new “Lite” plan for Google One, offering a small storage bump at a lower cost. This plan is now available in India for some users, with a free trial period.

What’s Included in the Google One “Lite” Plan?

The Google One “Lite” plan doubles the free storage from 15GB to 30GB, which can be used across your account. This storage is not shared with other users, unlike the other Google One plans. The plan also lacks additional features found in other tiers.

Pricing

The Google One “Lite” plan costs Rs. 59 (approximately $0.70 per month), making it a more affordable option compared to the existing plans. The standard Google One plans start at $1.99 in the US or Rs. 130 in India (approximately $1.55).

Will the “Lite” Plan be Available Outside of India?

It’s unclear whether Google plans to launch the “Lite” plan globally. However, it seems like a decent stepping stone towards larger storage options.
