Google Store Unveils Chromecast with Google TV Streaming Duo
Google’s Chromecast with Google TV Re-emerges on Store alongside New Streamer
Google’s Chromecast with Google TV has resurfaced on the US Google Store, after previously being demoted in favor of the new Google TV Streamer. The dongle, which was announced alongside the Streamer back in June, is now listed alongside its newer sibling, giving users a direct comparison between the two.
Comparison Page Highlights Key Differences
The new Streaming category page on the Google Store showcases the Chromecast with Google TV and the Google TV Streamer side-by-side. The page highlights the key differences between the two, including Dolby Atmos, the new Voice Remote with customizable buttons, and the ability to control smart home devices. It also points out the improved hardware, with 32GB of RAM compared to the Streamer’s 8GB.
Inventory Won’t Last Forever
It’s worth noting that Google has confirmed that they will no longer manufacture new Chromecast 4K or HD dongles, with existing inventory being sold until it runs out. While the company has promised to continue updating the devices with new features and security patches, users would do well to grab a Chromecast with Google TV while they still can.
New Google TV Streamer Launching September 24
Meanwhile, the Google TV Streamer is set to launch on September 24, offering users a more powerful and feature-rich streaming experience. With the ability to control multiple streaming services from a single remote, built-in Chromecast support, and improved audio quality, the Streamer promises to be a formidable competitor in the streaming space.
