Expansive Nurburgring Open-World Adventure in Assetto Corsa Evo Awaits

Assetto Corsa Evo: A New Era in Sim Racing

The wait is almost over for fans of Assetto Corsa, as the latest installment, Assetto Corsa Evo, is set to launch on January 16. This highly anticipated game promises to revolutionize the sim racing experience with its unique blend of realistic driving physics and RPG elements. But what sets Evo apart from its predecessors?

A Taste of the Real Thing

For the first time, players will be able to explore the entire region surrounding the Nürburgring, a 600-square-mile open-world map that’s been meticulously scanned using LiDAR technology. This means you’ll be able to experience the thrill of driving on real roads, just like the pros do. From the snow-capped mountains to the distant castles, every detail has been painstakingly recreated to provide an immersive experience.

Local Businesses Get in on the Action

In a first for the sim racing community, Assetto Corsa Evo will allow players to rent and tune their cars from real-life local businesses in Eifel. That’s right, you’ll be able to pick up your favorite ride from shops like RSRNurburg and Vulcan Alpha, co-owned by YouTube personality and racing driver Misha Charoudin. And if you’re a local business in Eifel, you can even apply to have your shop laser-scanned into the game.

A Legacy of Modding

The Assetto Corsa modding community has been a driving force behind the game’s success, creating incredible fan-made content that’s allowed players to explore real-world locations like Pikes Peak, Tokyo’s Shuto Expressway, and Romania’s Transfagarasan highway. While the Eifel map won’t be available at launch, it’s expected to be released in the summer, with a smaller version initially available, followed by gradual updates that will eventually reveal the full map.

Get Ready to Take the Wheel

Early access to Assetto Corsa Evo begins on January 16, but don’t expect the Eifel map to be available right away. When it does finally release, you’ll be able to experience the thrill of driving on real roads without leaving your seat. So, buckle up and get ready to take the wheel in this new era of sim racing.
