Diablo 4’s Most Devastating Build: Unstoppable Character Deals Unprecedented Damage

Diablo 4 Player Sets New Record for Most Damage Dealt

In Blizzard’s action-packed ARPG, Diablo 4, a content creator has pushed the game to its limits, dealing an astonishing 333 undecillion damage as a Whirlwind Barbarian. The achievement is a testament to the player’s skill and dedication, and it’s an impressive feat that’s likely to be remembered for a long time.

Meet Rob2628, a seasoned Diablo 4 player who has a reputation for testing the game’s boundaries. This particular feat was achieved on the game’s test server, where Blizzard is currently testing patch 2.0 changes ahead of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.

The 2.0 update is designed to make the game more accessible and balanced, with changes aimed at reducing player levels and scaling down many of the numbers in the game. However, as Rob2628’s achievement shows, the update may not have quite achieved its goal. Despite this, Rob2628 is quick to point out that the absurdly high damage numbers were likely the result of a bug that will be fixed before the update’s official release.

So, how did Rob2628 achieve this impressive feat? It involved a combination of carefully chosen gear, including Thorns and Maximum Life, and clever use of the Barbarian’s new Thorns-focused Key Passive Barbed Carapace. Rob2628 also took advantage of two new Runewords being introduced in the Vessel of Hatred expansion, one of which grants more life and another that creates an earthquake while standing still.

The key to the achievement was the player’s ability to generate Fury quickly and use the Whirlwind ability without stopping, allowing the Thorn damage to scale to ever-increasing heights. In fact, the damage dealt was so high that it eventually surpassed the amount the game can display, leading to the game displaying an infinity symbol.

"This can pretty much speed-farm everything in the game, obviously, because we have infinite damage," Rob2628 said in a video breaking down the accomplishment.

Diablo 4’s 2.0 update and Vessel of Hatred expansion are set to release on October 8, bringing with them a host of new features, including a new class, the Spiritborn, a major rework of the game’s difficulty system, the addition of Mercenaries, and a "first-of-its-kind" endgame dungeon.
