At the recent CES 2025 keynote, Nvidia took the world by storm with a slew of exciting announcements, and one of the highlights was undoubtedly the world’s smallest AI supercomputer: Project Digits. What is Nvidia Project Digits?

Project Digits is a revolutionary personal AI supercomputer, designed and developed by Nvidia. Powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, this powerful device is capable of delivering a petaflop of AI computing performance at FP4 precision, making it perfect for AI-intensive tasks such as prototyping, fine-tuning, and running large AI models, including up to 200-billion-parameter large language models. For even more power, you can link two Project Digits computers to run models with up to 405 billion parameters!

How does it work?

The supercomputer is designed to give AI researchers, data scientists, and students access to the Grace Blackwell platform from the comfort of their own desktops, anywhere in the world. This allows them to develop and run inference on models, then deploy them on Nvidia DGX Cloud, accelerated cloud, or data center infrastructure, all from their desk.

Key Features

The GB10 chipset is packed with the latest generation of CUDA cores and 5th-gen Tensor Cores, alongside the Nvidia Grace CPU, featuring 20 power-efficient Arm cores designed in collaboration with MediaTek. Additionally, Project Digits comes equipped with 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of NVMe storage, requiring only a standard electrical outlet to run.

Software and Library

Project Digits also features a large library of Nvidia AI software, including software development kits, orchestration tools, frameworks, and models found in the Nvidia NGC catalogue and on the Nvidia Developer portal.
