Boost Lagging TV Sound with Philips Soundbars: Turn Your Viewing Experience Around

Philips Unveils Three New Soundbars to Boost Your TV’s Sound
Philips is set to release three new soundbars, designed to elevate your TV’s audio experience and provide flexibility for various setups. The soundbars will cater to different needs, from a sleek and slim design to a more robust and powerful experience.
The B8500: A Full-Wide Soundbar for Large TVs
The B8500 is the most powerful of the three soundbars, designed for TVs with a flat plate or central stand, such as the upcoming OLED810 and MLED950 models. It features a 5.1 driver configuration, with 300W of power dedicated to the left, center, and right speakers. The 2.25-inch drivers in the main bar and 2-inch drivers in the side-firing channels work together to spread sound evenly throughout the room. A 150W-powered subwoofer provides deep bass, and the soundbar supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Virtual:X, with HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth 5.4, and 4K/120Hz pass-through for gaming. You can control the soundbar using the remote or app.
The B6100: A Compact Soundbar for Smaller TVs
The B6100 is a more compact soundbar designed for TVs between 48-55 inches in size. It features a main bar and subwoofer, with 40W of power dedicated to each of the two speakers in the soundbar and 120W for the subwoofer. This soundbar also supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Virtual:X, as well as HDMI 2.1 eARC and Bluetooth 5.4 streaming.
Shared Features and Design Philosophy
All three soundbars share similar features, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility, HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth 5.4, and 4K/120Hz pass-through for gaming. The design philosophy behind these soundbars is focused on ease of use and flexibility, making them suitable for various home theater set-ups.
First Impressions and Launch Date
We had the chance to listen to the B8200 at the TP Vision 25 event, and we were surprised by its sound quality. The audio was clear, detailed, and warm in tone, with the subwoofer providing a weighty sense of bass. The new soundbars are expected to launch later this year, but no prices have been announced. We’re looking forward to reviewing the B6309 slim soundbar model, which is still available to purchase.
