- Press down on the Lock Screen.
- Tap Customise.
- Tap Lock Screen.
- Remove Torch.
- Tap + to replace.
- Select a replacement.
- Press Done to save changes.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Ensure you’re running iOS 18:
If you’re not already running iOS 18, head to Settings > General > Software Update to install the latest version.
Press down on the Lock Screen:
Hold the Lock Screen until an editing screen appears.
Tap Customise:
Tap the Customise button to begin editing the Lock Screen.
Tap Lock Screen:
Choose between the Lock Screen and Home Screen. For this guide, we’ll choose the Lock Screen.
Remove Torch:
Tap the minus icon above the Torch shortcut.
Tap + to replace:
Tap the + icon to select a replacement or leave the space blank.
Select a replacement:
Choose a replacement from the available options.
Press Done to save changes:
Once you’ve selected a replacement, tap Done to save the Lock Screen.
Troubleshooting:
Q: Can you remove both shortcuts completely?
A: Yes! Tap the minus icon on both shortcuts and press Done to remove both the Camera and Torch shortcuts completely.
