Boost Immersive Sound with Pixel Buds Pro’s Advanced Noise Control in Android 15
Noise Control for Pixel Buds Pro Now Available in Android 15’s Volume Menu
Google has started rolling out Noise Control to the Android 15 Volume menu, allowing Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2 users to seamlessly adjust their noise-cancellation settings from the quick-access panel.
What’s New?
When you adjust volume with the physical keys or tap the three dots at the bottom of the slider, you’ll now find a "Noise Control" option at the left-most position. This toggle slides up an overlay with three settings: Noise Cancellation, Off, and Transparency.
Why is This a Big Deal?
Noise Control provides a convenient way to manage noise cancellation without needing to open the Pixel Buds app or visit the settings menu. This feature was initially absent from the Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2, making it a significant addition to the Android 15 experience.
What Else Has Changed?
Spatial Audio has also seen an upgrade, offering three options: Off, Fixed, and Head Tracking. Live Caption is still available as an on/off toggle, although it’s slightly buried in the sheet. Meanwhile, the Noise Control and Spatial Audio buttons will expand when you toggle them on.
Server-Side Update
Noise Control for Pixel Buds Pro is rolling out as a server-side update, making it faster and more convenient to access than updating the Pixel Buds app. Alternatively, you can use the Pixel Battery widget as a shortcut.
