Apple Watch Ultra 3 Rumors: Will the Latest Version Disappoint Fans?
Listen up, watch enthusiasts: there aren’t exactly compelling reasons to upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 if you’re rocking the original Ultra from last year. I mean, think about it – these two watches are essentially the same. Sure, Apple did toss in a few new features, like Precision Finding and Double Tap controls, but honestly, those don’t exactly send us all aflutter.
Come next week, when Apple drops its latest batch of watches (we’re expecting a Series 10 and third-gen SE), you might be wondering: what’s new and improved in this third-generation Ultra? Sadly, the rumors so far don’t exactly promise game-changing updates. According to whispers, it seems Apple’s skipping the fancy microLED display everyone’s been clamoring for – yep, it appears we won’t see any groundbreaking improvements in the brightness, color, or contrast departments.
We can partly thank Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman for this bit of intel. It seems Apple decided to axe its plan for in-house display design and will stick to OLED, at least for now. Now, Apple could surprise us with some juicy updates when it takes the wraps off its new processor alongside these watches – fingers crossed! But, judging from the current rumor landscape, we’re looking at another iteration with an unexciting Retina OLED display.
