Affordable Luxury SUV Options: Alternative to Alfa Romeo at a Lower Price

The 2025 Mazda CX-70 is essentially a CX-90 without the third row of seats. And honestly, that’s not a bad thing. For this review, I drove a plug-in hybrid version, mostly because we’ve already put the more powerful straight-six setup through its paces in our CX-90 review. Because, let’s be real, they’re basically the same car.

So, the verdict is largely the same. The CX-70 is an attractive, spacious, and relatively fun-to-drive family crossover that could use some work at actually being a family crossover. It’s like Mazda took the Alfa Romeo SUV formula and said, “Hey, let’s make it cheaper!” And honestly, that’s not a bad thing.
