Acer Unveils Two New Handheld Gaming PC Devices: Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11

Acer is back with another exciting announcement, this time revealing two new handheld gaming PC devices at CES 2025. The Taiwanese manufacturer is looking to expand its presence in the gaming world with the Acer Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11, powered by AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processors and AMD Radeon 780M graphics.

Main Features and Specifications

The Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 both boast 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory, allowing for seamless performance. Storage options range from 512 GB to 2 TB, ensuring you have ample space for your games and files. The screens vary in size, with an 8.8-inch option on the Nitro Blaze 8 and a 10.95-inch option on the Nitro Blaze 11. Both devices feature a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

Innovative Controls and Audio

The handhelds come equipped with Hall Effect trigger buttons and sticks, addressing concerns about stick drift. Additionally, the devices have detachable controllers and a kickstand, inspired by the Nintendo Switch and Lenovo Legion Go. You can even use the front camera for video calls and streaming.

The DTS:X Ultra Audio system on both devices will immerse you in rich audio, while USB 4, USB 3.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensure you stay connected and powered.

Acer Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller

Acer has also introduced the Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller, a foldable device that allows you to play games on your iOS or Android device. This convenient accessory will be available in the first quarter of 2025 for $69.99 / €89.99.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 and Acer Nitro Blaze 11 will be available on Acer’s official website and in third-party retailers in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the second quarter of 2025. The pricing will be as follows: Nitro Blaze 8 – $899 / €999, and Nitro Blaze 11 – $1,099 / €1,199.
