Destiny 2: Dreadnaught Revival – Unleashing the Power of Heresy

The Dreadnaught Returns in Destiny 2: Heresy

Get ready to set foot on the Hawkins ship, again. When Destiny 2: Heresy drops on February 4, you’ll be back on the Dreadnaught, the iconic Hive ship that’s been adrift since The Taken King expansion. But don’t expect the same old, familiar experience. This time, the Dreadnaught has undergone significant changes, and so has the way you’ll be fighting through it.

A New Experience on the Dreadnaught

According to Nikko Stevens, Destiny 2’s Narrative Architect, "What’s significant about the Dreadnaught’s return for Heresy is that it’s going to be changing, and we’re going to be fighting through it in ways we’ve yet to experience." The ship’s reawakening has sent the Vanguard and Guardians into a frenzy, and it’s up to you to push back against the corruption that’s taken over the ship.

The Nether: A New Challenge

To achieve this, a new activity called The Nether will be introduced. In this endeavor, you’ll be tasked with disabling the ship’s internal weapons and preventing the Taken corruption from spreading. But that’s not all – both you and your enemies can be positively or negatively affected by boons, which will shake up the balance of power between you.

A Star Wars Crossover and More

Destiny 2: Heresy will also mark the launch of a collaboration with Star Wars, introducing gear, armor ornaments, accessories, emotes, and finishers inspired by the Empire’s fiercest warriors, including the Death Troopers and the Imperial Guards. This isn’t the first time Destiny 2 has collaborated with other franchises – previous partnerships have brought items from and inspired by The Witcher, Mass Effect, and Assassin’s Creed.

A Sneak Peek at Sundered Doctrine

And, if you’re anxious to get your hands on the new content, Bungie has given us a first look at the upcoming dungeon, Sundered Doctrine. The invitation is out for the best players to compete in a race to be the first to complete it.

Get ready to experience the Dreadnaught like never before and join the fight against corruption in Destiny 2: Heresy when it launches on February 4.
