Unlock the Battle: Honor Magic 7 Pro vs OnePlus 13 Android Smartphones Showdown
The Battle of the Flagship Smartphones: Honor Magic 7 Pro vs OnePlus 13
As we kick off 2025, we’re already seeing some incredible flagship smartphone launches hitting the market, including the Honor Magic 7 Pro and OnePlus 13. Both of these devices are among the first to sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, but how do they stack up beyond this key detail?
Pricing and Availability
The Honor Magic 7 Pro arrives in a 12GB + 512GB configuration with an RRP of $999/£1099.99, while the OnePlus 13 starts at $899.99/£899 for the 12GB + 256GB model, with the more capacious 16GB + 512GB option coming in at $999.99/£999.
Both Run on Snapdragon 8 Elite
Qualcomm’s newest mobile processor is designed to be a massive upgrade from last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with significant boosts in CPU performance and GPU performance for enhanced gaming capabilities. In our tests, the OnePlus 13 has left us blown away, with its benchmark scores simply stunning – its Geekbench 6 single-core result of 3123 and multi-core score of 9494 left even the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the dust.
Honor Magic 7 Pro: More AI-Powered Features
While the OnePlus 13 does come with AI tools tailored to the device itself, most of its AI prowess is supplied through Google’s built-in apps. The Honor Magic 7 Pro, on the other hand, boasts more AI-powered features that are exclusive to the phone. Think Deepfake Detection, translation, and Magic Portal, a feature that analyzes messages and images to provide shortcuts to the apps you need.
Early Verdict
Both the Honor Magic 7 Pro and OnePlus 13 promise to be phenomenal smartphones, but with the former packing some extra AI flourishes and a massive 200MP telephoto lens, it’s one to keep an eye on. We’ll be back with a full review once we get our hands on the Honor Magic 7 Pro and compare notes with our experience with the OnePlus 13.
