Unlock the Thrill: Playtest Skate Now and Shape the Future of Gaming
Skate: The Latest Update on EA’s Free-to-Play Skate Sim
Four and a half years after its announcement, EA’s free-to-play skate sim, Skate, is finally ready for playtesting on consoles. As part of the early access strategy, select early adopters who signed up to the Skate Insider program are receiving invitations to get involved in the playtest and help shape the future of the game.
Playtesting Opportunities Available
Early adopters are being invited to test the game, with the opportunity to shape its future direction. If you haven’t received an invitation yet, don’t worry! The team is actively recruiting new players, and you can still express your interest in the official website to be considered for playtesting.
Cross-Platform Capabilities
Skate will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC (including Steam), and mobile devices when it launches in early access later this year. This marks a significant milestone, as it will be the first Skate game to be released on mobile devices. Additionally, the game will feature cross-play and cross-progression support, allowing players to seamlessly transfer their progress across platforms.
The Evolution of Skate
When Full Circle first announced Skate, they described it as an "authentic evolution" of the series, aiming to reflect "where skateboarding and gaming is in the real world." The game is expected to build upon the success of its predecessors, including Skate 3, which was released 15 years ago.
