Revolutionize Mobile Gaming with the Rise of Ryzen Z2 Powered Claw

MSI Claw Ryzen Z2 Rumors Emerge: Could This Be the Next Big Thing in Handheld Gaming?

The rumor mill is buzzing with whispers of an upcoming MSI Claw Ryzen Z2 announcement, joining the ranks of other exciting PC hardware reveals at CES 2025.

According to CodeCommando, a trusted source for AMD and MSI leaks, new MSI Claw models could be on the horizon, boasting a choice between Intel’s Lunar Lake and AMD’s Ryzen Z2 processor. However, the timing of this reveal remains uncertain, with the possibility of it being announced at CES 2025 or at a later date.

The MSI Claw 8 AI+ is already set to ship this month, offering a glimpse into the potential performance capabilities of an upcoming Ryzen Z2-powered handheld gaming PC.

How Would a Ryzen Z2 Version of the MSI Claw Fare Against Competitors?

While there haven’t been any hints at a ROG Ally X successor from Asus, Lenovo has already introduced the Legion Go S and Legion Go 2, with the latter featuring the Ryzen Z2 Extreme.

If MSI indeed plans to announce a new MSI Claw, it’s likely to use the Z2 Extreme processor to stay competitive. This would put it on par with other Z2 Extreme-based handhelds, offering an impressive performance experience.

Performance-wise, a Ryzen Z2-powered MSI Claw would be on par with Lenovo’s Legion Go 2, and other similar handhelds. The FSR upscaling method developed by AMD could give the MSI Claw an edge over competitors using Intel’s XeSS.

In the meantime, we’re unlikely to see significant updates to MSI’s handheld gaming PC lineup soon. As competitors continue to release more powerful handheld gaming PCs, MSI will need to catch up with its own offerings to remain competitive.

Stay ahead of the curve with the latest tech news and reviews and be the first to know about new developments in the world of handheld gaming PCs.
