Unleashing the Ultimate Gaming Experience: Josh King’s MagSafe Gamepad Revolution

The Pocket-Sized Gamepad Revolution: Introducing the OhSnap Mcon

Imagine a gamepad that’s no taller or wider than an iPhone, yet packs a punch when it comes to gaming functionality. The OhSnap Mcon is a revolutionary new device that’s about to change the way we game on-the-go.

A Compact yet Powerful Package

The Mcon is designed to slide into a pocket, making it the perfect companion for gamers on the move. Its MagSafe pattern of magnets ensures a secure attachment to your magnetic ring device, while its retractable design allows you to use your phone like a phone without interrupting your gaming experience.

Analog Sticks and More

But that’s not all – the Mcon also features Nintendo Switch-esque analog sticks with drift-resistant Hall effect sensors, as well as a pair of fold-out grips for a more comfortable gaming experience. The sticks are clickable buttons, and you’ll also find a full set of shoulder buttons and triggers.

A Story of Innovation

The OhSnap Mcon has a fascinating backstory. Two months ago, Retro Game Corps was impressed with a prototype, and it seems that the device has been gaining momentum ever since. In a recent YouTube video, the creator, Josh King, explained how he initially tried to start his own company around the gamepad, attracting investors and manufacturing boards before partnering with OhSnap.

The Road to Launch

Speaking of partnerships, OhSnap is planning to launch a Kickstarter on January 2nd to raise funds for the Mcon. You can sign up for updates on their website. As for pricing, we’ll have to wait and see what the final cost will be, but rest assured that it’ll be worth it.

A Hands-On Review

I’ll be getting my hands on a prototype at CES 2025 in Las Vegas and will provide a hands-on review to give you a better idea of what to expect. Stay tuned!
