Unlock the Secrets of Wukong’s Journey: A Charted Path to Dominate Shrine Challenges
Black Myth: Wukong Update Brings New Challenges and Features
Get ready for a fresh batch of surprises in Black Myth: Wukong, the record-breaking action-RPG. As promised by its director, the game has received a significant update, packed with exciting new content and improvements.
New Challenges and Features
The update introduces Keeper’s Shrine challenges, which unlock after completing the game once. These challenges come in two flavors: Return of Rivals and Gauntlet of Legends. Return of Rivals is a one-on-one fight against previously defeated foes, while Gauntlet of Legends features a series of battles against returning enemies, with difficulty based on customizable curses. Successfully completing a gauntlet rewards rare treasures, but be warned that challenges won’t be available if the corresponding opponents haven’t been defeated in the main game.
More Ways to Explore
The update also brings Journeyer’s Charts, a new feature that allows players to mark and navigate landscapes. These charts are initially unlocked after meeting the Keeper in Black Wind Mountain and can be purchased for each visited territory at shrines.
Celebrate the Chinese New Year
To mark the upcoming Chinese New Year, the update adds four special armor pieces that can be claimed under “Trailblazer’s Gift” at any Keeper’s Shrine.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
The update also includes a range of bug fixes and improvements, covering performance, localization, and boss tweaks. Additionally, the Black Myth: Wukong Soundtrack Selection has been added to the music library.
What’s Next?
Black Myth: Wukong’s latest update arrives just ahead of The Game Awards, where it has been nominated in several categories, including best action game, best art direction, and game of the year. Will the show bring a long-awaited Xbox release date for Black Myth: Wukong? Only time will tell.
