Unleash the Power: OnePlus’ Compact Snapdragon 8 Elite-Powered Smartphone Coming Soon

Smaller Flagship Smartphones: The New Normal?

In recent years, we’ve seen a shift towards smaller flagship smartphones, and it seems this trend is here to stay. By "smaller," we don’t mean tiny devices, but rather ones that deviate from the mainstream sizes. Think iPhone 16 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro, Xiaomi 15, and vivo X200 Pro mini – all of which have congregated around the 6.3" screen size.

OnePlus Enters the Fray

According to a recent rumor out of China, OnePlus is working on a device that fits right into this category. This new smartphone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, feature a 6.3" screen with a "1.5K" resolution, and boast a 50 MP main camera utilizing Sony’s IMX906 sensor.

A Sneak Peek at the Design

The device’s camera island design is reportedly horizontal and similar to what we’ve seen on Google’s Pixels. There’s no periscope zoom camera, and the current prototype sports an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. However, OnePlus is still weighing the pros and cons of switching to an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

When Can We Expect It?

With no official launch date in sight, speculation is rife that this phone will be part of the Ace 5 series, possibly an Ace 5 mini or Ace 5 Pro mini. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
